i'm trapped in this world where "being yourself" is considered the norm
where the very walls around me are dictated by pop culture
nonconformity is the latest fad, and everyone's a part of it.
inescapable pawns of commercialism and media's almighty grasp
like birds that will never know beyond their cage
and i'm sick of being a part of it, i'm sick of "being myself"
i'm sick of quote-unquote "random", and i'm sick of caring
i'm sick of being judged, and i'm sick of being told how to live my life
i'm sick of it all
i can't choose how i'll die, but i can choose how i'll live
and I'm done being who the rest of the world wants me to be,
a whipping boys of society's ignorance
i'm done being the rocker/goth/skater/emo/nerd/nonconformist
/whatever other imaginary mold you think i fill
cuz your your just too damn lazy or stupid to actually get to know anyone
so you'll just guess at what kind of person they are
by who they hang out with and how they dress, the music they listen to
YOU IGNORANT SON OF A BITCH!!
but above all:
i'm sick of that exact labeling system that groups people together
to make hating them for their differences so god damned efficient
